As soon as we entered the extensive grounds of The Meru Sanur Bali, we were amazed by the beauty of the magnificent garden. Our suitcases were kindly received by the concierge and entering the building felt like entering a museum. A long, elegant corridor stretched out in front of us, lined with stunning figures positioned in front of beautifully rippling waterfalls. This corridor led us to the impressive grand lobby, which conveyed a sense of grace and sophistication with its elegant design and luxurious details.
Check-in was quick and easy, and we were soon able to move into our deluxe suite on the first floor. This suite offered access to a small, lovingly planted garden with a cozy sitting area. The room itself exceeded all our expectations. The color combinations and thoughtful design created a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately made us feel at home.
The suite was a real highlight of our stay. Particularly impressive was the free-standing bathtub, which - elegantly placed in front of a large window - provided a wonderful view of the garden. The luxurious furnishings in the bathroom, including high-quality fittings and fine materials, made bathing an exclusive experience. The view of the lush garden through the window gave the bathroom a relaxing, almost meditative feel.
In addition, the suite's elegant furniture, ornate woodwork and carefully selected decorations added to the luxurious atmosphere. During our stay, we enjoyed the hotel's spacious Olympic-size pool. It was a great place to swim a few lengths or relax with a cool drink on one of the sun loungers under the parasol. The hotel is located directly on the beautiful sandy beach of Sanur, which is ideal for relaxing beach walks and sunbathing. The fine, golden sand and sparkling water create an idyllic setting that invites you to linger. The Meru Sanur impresses with its elegant bar, which offers an exquisite selection of cocktails, wines and sophisticated drinks. The perfect place to end the day: While enjoying an artfully mixed exotic drink, you can soak up the stylish atmosphere of the resort. The tasteful furnishings and soft lighting create an inviting and relaxed atmosphere that makes every visit a special experience. An absolute highlight of our stay was the breakfast buffet, which exceeded all our expectations. The variety and quality of the food on offer was impressive, and every detail had been considered with great care. From fresh fruits and local specialties to international delicacies, the breakfast offered a culinary journey through flavors from around the world and was the perfect start to the day.
Another highlight was the Balinese massage at Svasana Spa, which allowed us to relax deeply and prepared us for the journey ahead. The massage was a wonderful addition to our stay and helped us feel completely refreshed and rejuvenated. The calm and peaceful atmosphere of the spa made the experience especially relaxing.
The hotel offers numerous complimentary activities that enriched our stay: daily yoga classes and boxing classes on the beach provided refreshment and exercise. In addition, we were able to use free bicycles to ride along the endless Sanur promenade and explore the surrounding area. For fitness enthusiasts, there is a well-equipped fitness center that offers a comprehensive range of equipment and workout options. The lovingly designed Kids Club ensures that younger guests also get their money's worth and are well entertained during their stay.The Arunika Restaurant at The Meru Sanur offered us a fascinating culinary experience with an extensive selection of dishes that included both local and international delicacies. The kitchen presented masterfully prepared Balinese classics such as nasi goreng and rendang as well as creative international dishes. This combination of local and international options made our culinary adventure particularly varied and rich.
The restaurant not only spoiled us with its exquisite selection of dishes, but also with an impressive cocktail menu. The artfully mixed drinks, which combined both exotic and classic ingredients, rounded off our culinary experience and ensured that we enjoyed the excellent cuisine and inviting atmosphere late into the night. The stylish surroundings and attentive service helped to ensure that every meal at Arunika Restaurant was an unforgettable feast for the senses. Of particular note is the hotel's proximity to the new port of Sanur, from which the idyllic island of Nusa Penida is just a short 30-minute boat ride away. This harbor can be reached within a few minutes from the hotel and allows easy and quick access to the island. This made our stay even more diverse and allowed us to explore the beauty of the nearby islands. With a total of 184 suites, The Meru Sanur offers generous space and exclusive amenities that made our stay a luxurious experience. The thoughtful design and first-class services were instrumental in making us feel completely at ease throughout our stay.
