Amidst the breathtaking island of Bali, we had the privilege of experiencing a special glamping retreat that deeply touched us. The Sanda Plantation Hideaway is located in the magical village of Desa Sanda, right in the heart of Bali, with a dreamlike view of the beautiful rice fields gently stretching across the hills.
It was a place of tranquility and beauty that enchanted our senses, and yet, it was just a short 2-hour drive from the international airport.
Our eco-friendly glamping tent was elegantly furnished, offering the perfect blend of comfort and immersion in nature. Every detail was carefully chosen to create a cozy atmosphere without compromising the natural charm of the surroundings.
However, what truly made this stay unforgettable was the exceptional service provided by our hosts. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality. Our hosts, Toine and his wife Mega, anticipated our every need, and they were always ready to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.
They displayed a deep connection to the local culture and shared their knowledge and stories with us. The culinary delights they served us were a feast for the senses. Each meal was prepared with love and offered a unique combination of traditional Balinese flavors and modern cuisine.
They themselves operate a plantation with over 30 different fruit trees and plants, ensuring that we were surrounded by an abundance of fresh and delicious fruits.
Toine and Mega took the time to show us the plantation and introduce us to the secrets of cultivation and harvesting.
They explained how they care for the plants and the natural methods they use to produce healthy and sustainable fruits.
During our stay, we had the opportunity to pluck fresh fruits directly from the trees and indulge our palates with the sweet and refreshing taste of nature's bounty. Furthermore, the fruits were also incorporated into the meals provided by the glamping service. Our hosts skillfully prepared dishes with fresh ingredients, allowing us to savor the flavors and aromas of the local fruits in every bite.
